Feasibly Reducing KAT Equations to KA Equations
نویسنده
چکیده
Kleene algebra (KA) is the algebra of regular events. Familiar examples of Kleene algebras include regular sets, relational algebras, and trace algebras. A Kleene algebra with tests (KAT) is a Kleene algebra with an embedded Boolean subalgebra. The addition of tests allows one to encode while programs as KAT terms, thus the equational theory of KAT can express (propositional) program equivalence. More complicated statements about programs can be expressed in the Hoare theory of KAT, which suffices to encode Propositional Hoare Logic. That the equational theory of KAT reduces to the equational theory of KA has been shown by Cohen et al. Unfortunately, their reduction involves an exponential blowup in the size of the terms involved. Here we give an alternate feasible reduction.

متن کاملDeciding KAT and Hoare Logic with Derivatives
Kleene algebra with tests (KAT) is an equational system for program verification, which is the combination of Boolean algebra (BA) and Kleene algebra (KA), the algebra of regular expressions. In particular, KAT subsumes the propositional fragment of Hoare logic (PHL) which is a formal system for the specification and verification of programs, and that is currently the base of most tools for che...

متن کاملExact solutions for wave-like equations by differential transform method
Differential transform method has been applied to solve many functional equations so far. In this article, we have used this method to solve wave-like equations. Differential transform method is capable of reducing the size of computational work. Exact solutions can also be achieved by the known forms of the series solutions. Some examples are prepared to show theefficiency and simplicity of th...
متن کاملNumerical Solution of fuzzy differential equations of nth-order by Adams-Moulton method
In recent years, Fuzzy differential equations are very useful indifferent sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology and economy. It should be noted, that if the equations that appear to be uncertain, then take help of fuzzy logic at these equations. Considering that most of the time analytic solution of such equations and finding an exact solution has either high complexity or cannot be solv...
